1. About Maps List Export

Maps List Export is a browser extension that helps you scan and export Google Maps saved lists and starred places to file formats such as CSV, Excel, JSON, GeoJSON, KML, GPX, and PDF. The marketing website does not perform exports for you; exports run in your browser after you install the extension and open Google Maps.

2. Chrome Extension Data Practices

This section describes how the Maps List Export extension handles data when you use it on Google Maps.

  • Saved lists and place data. When you scan a list, the extension reads place information available in your signed-in Google Maps session (such as names, addresses, coordinates, notes, and list metadata) to build the export you request.
  • Place enrichment. To add optional fields like phone numbers, websites, ratings, hours, and photo URLs, the extension may request additional place details from Google using the same browser session.
  • Local processing. List scanning and file generation are processed locally in your browser. We do not upload your Google Maps list contents to ExtensionsFox servers for export.
  • Local storage. The extension may store settings, cached lists, place data, and subscription or license status locally in the browser (for example via Chrome extension storage or IndexedDB) so the product can function for you.
  • No sale of export data. We do not sell, rent, or share your exported place data with third parties for advertising.

3. Information We Collect (Website, Billing & Support)

Separate from local exports, we may collect limited information when you use our websites or contact us:

  • Communications. If you email us for support, billing, or troubleshooting, we receive the information you include (such as your email address and message content) so we can respond.
  • Payment and subscription. If you purchase or subscribe, payment details are handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems; we may retain subscriber or order-related information needed to provide the Service (for example email, plan status, and transaction references available through the processor).
  • Website technical data. Like most websites, our servers or hosting providers may automatically receive basic request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to operate, secure, and improve the website.

4. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Maps List Export extension and website
  • Process purchases and manage subscriptions or licenses
  • Respond to support requests and send transactional notices related to your purchase or the Service
  • Improve reliability, security, and performance of the Services
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not use your Google Maps export data for advertising, training third-party AI models, or other purposes beyond generating the files you request on your device.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers. Vendors who help us operate the Services (such as payment processing, hosting, or email delivery), under obligations to use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal requirements. When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ExtensionsFox, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of personal information consistent with this Policy.

Export data processed by the extension remains on your device unless you choose to share a file yourself.

6. Data Retention & Your Choices

  • Local extension data. You can clear extension storage or uninstall Maps List Export at any time through your browser settings. Uninstalling stops further local processing by the extension.
  • Cached lists and places. Cached data is stored locally in the extension on your device; we do not host those exports on ExtensionsFox servers.
  • Support and billing records. We retain support correspondence and subscription records only as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal or accounting requirements, or resolve disputes.
  • Requests. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you (for example support or billing records), email help@extensionsfox.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
